CERTIFICATION OBJECTIVES

The Certified Valuations Specialist (CVS) represents 100 hours of training, dual certifications (the CIC & CVS), plus outside application in utilizing the Intrinsic Coaching® methodology while working with people's unique patterns of thinking: 28 measurements plus combinations that individually and together illuminate the thinking behind choices, including one's own, at rest, during problem solving, and when under stress.

The goal of the CVS certification is to work directly with measurements illustrating the details of the thinking behind choices, for personal development and in life, and for professional use at work, in coaching, consulting, and program design, and anywhere a clear understanding of the thinking behind choices makes the necessary difference in being successful when addressing the choice.

Participation can be live or via video or a combination, depending on any of your certification and/or continuing education requirements. Video back up is available for missed sessions.

When your first enrollment with ISINTL is the CVS Certification, you earn both the CIC and CVS Certification and gain a dual certification discount and additional options for the sequence of training events, including taking certain CIC and CVS training events concurrently. To assure the maximum learning benefit, it is strongly recommended to complete the first step of the CIC Certification (Intrinsic Coach® Series I) before any overlap of CVS and CIC training events.

CANDIDATES Will Learn:

    In addition to the Intrinsic Coach® Series leading to the Certified Intrinsic Coach® certification, candidates will take:

    I, E, & S Valuing: The Thinking Behind Choices I
  • After taking an online assessment, you will have your own measurements of the patterns of thinking you use, whether reflexively or more consciously, when you make choices.
  • Using your own measurements, you will understand the intricacies of how people arrive at what makes sense to them - starting with how you arrive at what makes sense to you – and how to work with people in that context, as a coach, consultant, service professional, leader, program designer, and as a person making choices and living and working with people.

  • I, E, & S Valuing: The Thinking Behind Choices II
  • You will enable two people to take the same online assessment and review their results with them while integrating the Intrinsic Coaching® methodology.
  • You will collaborate with your peers during the application phase, having opportunities to prepare yourself to work with a person in the context of what you are learning and also benefit from participant debriefs on their experiences.

  • I, E, & S Valuing: The Thinking Behind Choices III
  • Participants prepare a brief presentation – a mini-case study – for which a simple, step-by-step template is provided. Typically about an experience with one person, sometimes participants present their own growth, which occurred as a result of having their own measurements.
  • During the presentations, you can expect to witness, including in yourself, a skill level beyond anything you had anticipated when starting.

  • Certification: Certified Valuations Specialist (CVS)
  • Participants wanting the CVS Certification will have completed the three Thinking Behind Choices training events (I, E, & S Valuing: The Thinking Behind Choices I, II, & III) and will have met attendance and participation requirements, including the mini-case study presentation described above. Upon completion of requirements, participants are awarded the Certified Valuations Specialist (CVS) Certification, which is CCE-Approved for the Board Certified Coach Certification.
  • Certified Valuations Specialists have independent access to the online vehicle that enables the use of the measurement instrument, online video resources, continued live and collaborative learning opportunities, and access to the community of Certified Valuation Specialists.

SCHEDULE

The Series of CVS Training Events (Thinking Behind Choices I, II, & III) begin in January, April, July, and October and meet for two consecutive hours a week. Attendance can be either via live, interactive webinar or viewing a video in place of a missed live session.

TRAINING FORMATS

  • For the CIC training events, participation is via teleconference (not toll-free). New CIC training event options begin each month with multiple day and time options. Sessions meet for two consecutive hours, once a week. There are 25 sessions total with the following time frames: 12 consecutive two-hour sessions, followed by 12 consecutive two-hour sessions, then one two-hour session. It is possible to take a break or change the day and time of your sessions at the conclusion of each group of sessions. Group size is limited to 24.
  • For the CVS training events, participation is via interactive webinar and includes the option to view a video of a missed session in lieu of live participation. Participating almost entirely via video is possible.

TIME ZONES. All times are listed as the current EASTERN time (whether EST or EDT). Arizona residents (and others who do not observe daylight savings): your class time will change by one hour with each beginning and end of daylight savings time.

ATTENDANCE. For the ICDS / IIDS training block, if you miss a session, you can listen to an audio file of your missed session. In person attendance at 9 of each of the 12 consecutive sessions is required for completion. For the I, E, & S Valuing training block, 100% attendance, either live or by video is required. If you miss a session, attendance via viewing a video of your missed live session or a corresponding archived session is confirmed by submitting a brief written learning online. Should your governing board require 100% live attendance to earn CE hours, an alternative in person session may be purchased. See CE Details.

HOLIDAYS. Sessions resume the following week, extending the time frame to complete a portion of your certification. Holidays include major national holidays and the week of the annual conference. USA, holidays are: New Year’s Eve (December 31), New Year’s Day (January 1), evening sessions only of Valentine's Day (February 14), Memorial Day (May), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (September), Thanksgiving Holiday (Thursday & Friday in November), and a Winter Holiday (December 24 – 26). Saturday sessions do not meet on three-day holiday weekends.

DISCLOSURES. (1) There is no commercial support being received for this activity. (2) There is no use of off label products. (3) All Certified Intrinsic Coach® Mentors (CICM) receive a financial stipend for their services.
