As far back as she can remember, Merilyn has wanted to help reduce the suffering of others. But over the years of her professional training and experience, first as a physical therapist and later as a psychotherapist, she had a growing sense of wanting something more for her clients without knowing exactly what that “something” was. In her reading, thinking, and professional continuing education courses, finding that “something” was elusive though it was always foremost in her mind. It wasn’t until 2009, when Merilyn was introduced to the Intrinsic Coaching® methodology, that she found her “something.” It is the I>E>S of the Intrinsic Coaching® methodology.
Merilyn believes that I>E>S is important on a global level for everyone, and is particularly valuable for those who are supporting people in moments of vulnerability. As a Certified Intrinsic Coach® Mentor (CICM), Merilyn loves having the opportunity to bring the Intrinsic Coaching® methodology to people from various backgrounds, including health care, where vulnerability is present in many conversations. One of her greatest rewards today is having the privilege of sharing people’s moments of discovery of I>E>S for themselves.
Along with being a faculty member of ISINTL, Merilyn has also earned the CIC, CVS-FR, and CICM certifications at ISINTL. In addition, she is Director of Coach Development for Progress Health Coaching and Consulting, where she is a member of their team of Certified Intrinsic Coach® professionals. Merilyn also continues to maintain a clinical practice in Dallas.
Merilyn received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Baylor University and her MSSW from the University of Texas at Arlington. In her leisure time, she enjoys being outdoors; hiking and laughing with her sister, friends, and dogs; and cooking, traveling and knitting.

Rosie Ward, Ph.D., MCHES, CIC, CVS-FR, CICM is on the faculty at Intrinsic Solutions, International (Totally Coached, Inc.) and also serves as the lead of the Health Management Consulting practice for the Upper-Midwest Region for Marsh & McLennan Agency in Minneapolis, MN. Rosie is passionate about helping organizations improve their culture, thus improving the well-being of people. Rosie is known as a thought-leader and a sought-after national speaker; with over 19 years of experience promoting well-being, employee engagement and transforming organizations, she is working to change how organizations approach health and well-being…moving away from the broken paradigm of narrowly focusing on behavior change and systemic standards.
Rosie found a critical key to shifting the worksite health promotion industry and transforming organizations when she discovered the Intrinsic Coaching® methodology in 2004. She has been on a mission ever since to find a way to bring I>E>S to organizations and people. Rosie does this by coaching individuals, integrating Intrinsic Coaching® into how she teaches group fitness classes, and consulting with organizations to move away from “wellness programs” to create a supportive culture of well-being where people are valued. Whether it’s helping with well-being initiatives; conducting leadership workshops; providing individual, group and executive coaching or providing support and expertise for culture transformation and strategic planning, Rosie leans on Christina Marshall's I>E>S hierarchy to meet companies wherever they are to help them achieve their desired results. She also maintains a life coaching practice – specializing in supporting people who are at a point of transition in their lives.
Rosie holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota with an emphasis in worksite health promotion, a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health Education from the University of Minnesota, and a Ph.D. in Organization in Management from Capella University where her research focused on organizational culture, motivation and coaching. In addition, Rosie conducted two research studies centered around Intrinsic Coaching® and how it impacts individual thinking patterns and well-being as well as job satisfaction and organizational commitment. She has published several papers, is regularly interviewed for business publications, and is a contributing author to the book, “Organization Development in Healthcare: High Impact Practices for a Complex and Changing Environment.”
In addition to the CIC, CVS-FR, and CICM certifications earned at ISINTL, Rosie is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, certified as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise, a certified Spinning® Instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics, and a licensed Zumba® instructor. In her leisure time, Rosie enjoys exercising, dancing, music, and spending time with her loved ones…especially her spunky, loveable son. Rosie is passionate about using her diverse background to leverage I>E>S to support individuals and organizations in building resiliency, well-being, and overall effectiveness.
