Frustrated! Is It Me? Or You?
It is a scientific fact that each human being is unique. Among the 7 billion people currently in the world, and among all the people who have ever existed since the beginning of time, you take your place as the only one of your kind. That is all well and good, but when we want to create value, when we want to make something happen, fathoming the awesome mystery and beauty of a person, the only one of its kind in all of creation, is the last thing we want to do. No wonder we find people frustrating when they are not more like me or her or him or like this idea I have of what would be good if you would be like that. It is good to know when I am frustrating myself while thinking it is you, but sometimes it really is another person, and knowing about that is good, too.

Introverts, Extroverts, Ambiverts, and Why Can’t You (or I) Just…?
Have you ever wanted to tell someone just spit it out or could you just give someone a chance to talk? Has anyone ever given you the idea they would be happier with you if you would be more outgoing or if you would slow down to give a person some space? Find out why one person needs to figure things out alone, and another person needs to talk to think. Find out why one person loves a party invitation and another person is happy to be invited as long as the people are familiar, the group isn’t too large, the environment isn’t chaotic, and there isn’t an expectation to stay until the end. It’s all healthy and it’s all good, unless you expect yourself, or someone else, to be different.

Listening, Interrupting, and Why the More You Should Listen, the More You Want to Talk
Why does it seem like interrupting will save time, even after we’ve found out a few times, or many times, that it won’t? Our amazing, pattern-seeking, pattern-creating human brain continues to convince us that predicting what someone is going to say is just as good, and also more efficient. Knowing what is behind this fault in thinking, noticing it while it is happening, and knowing what to do about it changes just about everything for the better, especially for people.

During this 2-hr webinar, offered live or by video, you will learn:
- Nine cognitive processes that automatically engage when we are trying to find our best thinking about self and others, all of which make listening seem like a waste of time
- The reason these automatic cognitive processes too often interfere with good choices related to ourselves and others
- How to prevent automatic cognitive processes from leading you away from your best thinking about self and others and toward the valuable and productive choices you want
